Seagate Technology Inc has promoted Stephen Luczo from executive vice president of strategic development to president and chief operating officer at the Scotts Valley, California company. The Wall Street Journal says the promotion came about when soon to- turn 67-year-old chairman Al Shugart decided he needed some help managing the company.
