SEAGATE ADDS UNIX SUPPORT TO CRYSTAL INFO

By CBR Staff Writer

Seagate Software Inc has ported the Info Server element of its widely used Crystal Info version 6 report writing software to Hewlett-Packard Co, IBM Corp and Sun Microsystems Inc Unix servers. Info Server currently runs on Windows NT, and Seagate boasts that it has around 50 customers using NT systems to support over 2,500 users on a single system, including Pepsi, Bankers Trust, Aetna, Tektronix and TCI. But it says the Unix ports will give it further credibility in the enterprise systems space. Info Server now supports HP/UX 10.20, AIX 4.2.1 or above and Solaris 2.5.1 or above.
