John Sculley is nothing if not a fast worker: although he had already met the company, rather reluctantly, it was only after he resigned from Apple Computer Inc that he began negotiations with Spectrum Information Technology Inc, he told the Financial Times: by Sunday he had had all the due diligence he felt he needed done, including engineers checking out its technology and lawyers its patent claims, negotiated an employment contract and was ready to go; he says he wants to build the Manhasset, New York company into another Intel Corp or Microsoft Corp, and likes the fact that it has $20m in the bank for acquisitions, alliances and relationships.
