SCITEX COMPLETES ON DAYTON OPERATIONS

Herzlia, Israel-based printing systems and equipment manufacturer Scitex Corp has completed the previously announced acquisition of Eastman Kodak Co’s Dayton Operations, and has renamed them Scitex Digital Printing Inc: the Israeli reckons it has landed a world leader in the development, manufacture and sale of computer driven, high-speed ink-jet printers; it has also bought 570,000 shares in RasterOps Corp in a block trade in the market, taking its stake to 19.4%: last month it completed its initial investment in RasterOps, acquiring in a private placing 1.25m new shares at $8 a share, $10m all told; Scitex continues to hold a three-year warrant for additional RasterOps shares from the company at $9 a share which, if fully exercised, would increase its stake to 26%.
