It is expected that Subro-Accelerator, developed by Socrates, a SCIOinspire company, allows health plans to review and filter adjudicated claims prior to payment to determine which should rightfully be covered by another insurer. The system can be highly customized based on the policies set by health plans, payers and state regulations, said SCIOinspire.
SCIOinspire said that it will offer Subro-Accelerator as a stand-alone application where applicable, and as a hybrid integrated with traditional pay-and-pursue coordination of benefits (COB) and subrogation approaches, which the company also will continue to offer.
Paul Gitnik, founder of Socrates, said: The introduction of Subro-Accelerator truly represents a paradigm shift in the delivery of COB and subrogation services. We’re moving the process further upstream in the claims payment cycle. Instead of investing resources in revenue recovery after the fact, our clients will experience genuine ‘cost management’ because these payments will never have been disbursed in the first place.
