SCIENTIFIC MICRO SYSTEMS LAUNCHES RUGGEDISED 80386-BASED AT SYSTEM

Scientific Micro Systems Inc, Mountain View, California, has launched a ruggedised 80386-based AT system for the industrial and OEM marketplace: the SMS 3000 Model 40 is said to have been designed to resist high temperatures, the various types of vibration, and electromagnetic interference commonly found on the factory floor, and runs MS-DOS and Unix: a base configuration is priced at UKP4,100 in the UK.
