SCICON WINS UKP1M CONTRACT FROM BRITISH PETROLEUM

SCicon Ltd has won a UKP1m three-year facilities management contract from British Petroleum Co Plc: the deal covers IBM 3081K and 3083EX machines based at Scicon’s computer centre at Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK, running applications including sales and order processing using Adabas under MVS/XA and VM operating systems and a 24-hour management of part of BP Chemicals International’ data communications network; Scicon was owned by BP, but is on its way to Systems Designers Plc.
