Scicon Ltd has released the first two modules, an equipment reference database and work under control, of the IBM System 38 version of its Teroman plant maintenance management information package, announced at the end of last year: starting at around UKP15,000 per module, System 38 Teroman will eventually also offer data loading, accounting, resource planning, budgeting, plant maintenance and a materials interface; Scicon claims the package, which is aimed at industries ranging from pulp and paper through oil and petrochemicals to metals, and food processing, can be implemented within one day and will more than pay for itself within two years.
