ScI Entertainment Group Plc, the London, UK-based games developer, is raising 20m pounds ($32.4m) to develop a range of new products and pursue the companyÆs internet strategy. While the company has traditionally concentrated on CD-ROM games for the PC, it now believes that next generation console platforms will offer stronger growth. So it is planning to develop a portfolio of games not only for Sony’s PlayStation II but also SegaÆs Dreamcast, NintendoÆs planned Dolphin and Microsoft CorpÆs X Box platform. In the year to June 30, it made a profit of 1.6m pounds ($2.5m), up from a loss of 3m pounds ($4.8m) on revenue 186.4% higher at 8m pounds.
