Schuh, a footwear retailer, has agreed to let Transaction Network Services (TNS) handle its payment processing across its 99 stores in the UK and Ireland.
The UK-based company selected TNSPay, a multi-channel payment gateway, as it looked to improve the security and technical support of its payment transactions.
Caroline Robertson, systems manager at Schuh, said: "With all the volatility seen in the retail market recently, it was crucial that we selected a stable and reliable payment gateway.
"TNS’s customer centric approach aligns perfectly with ours and their technical reliability and their knowledge in the payments industry will help us to maintain our success in the retail environment."
Fintan Byrne, SVP and general manager of UK and Ireland for TNS, said: "We’ve worked very closely with Schuh to allow them to take advantage of our extensive expertise and resources in the payments space from undertaking the integration, rigorous testing and subsequent roll out across Schuh stores."
TNS, which provides services to customers in over 60 countries, was one of the first companies to introduce payment processing technology over 20 years ago.
