The target operation, called Cambridge Integrated Services Group, provides claims and loss cost management services to self-insured employers, insurance companies, and government agencies in the US, Europe, and Australia.

Cambridge, with estimated annual revenue of $230 million, will be rolled into ProcessMind, Scandent’s BPO subsidiary. The takeover takes Singapore-based Scandent’s global headcount to more than 4,000 employees.

Scandent claims to be the third largest provider of back-office services to US insurance companies. Computer Sciences Corp claims leadership in this space, although it is now being challenged by IBM Global Services following its purchase of Liberty Insurance Services last month.
