Rochester, New York-based Sayett Group Inc formed a new venture with ISI Holding Co to manufacture and sell wearable computers with a head-mounted miniature display for various commercial and Department of Defense operations. The company said the new venture, InterVision Systems Inc, will be 60%-owned by ISI Holding and 40% by Sayett. It said it gets its 40% ownership is for a total consideration of about $1.5m. The company said the venture’s initial product offering is a belt-mounted palm-sized 80486 computer with a head-mounted VGA display, a removable hard drive and speech recogition software.
