Australian Java and internet tools developer Sausage Software Ltd is currently developing a tool that can be used to add streaming multimedia capabilities to websites. The Melbourne-based company has struck up a co-marketing agreement it has formed with Progressive Networks Inc, creator of RealAudio and RealVideo streaming technology. The tool will be used with Sausage’s HotDog Professional 4 web page editing product. The development is part of Sausage’s Supertoolz strategy, the RealAudio and RealVideo utility being one of a number of Supertoolz currently in development. The Supertoolz plug-in architecture is a key feature of the new HotDog product, as a method of adding extra functionality to HotDog. The RealAudio and RealVideo plug-in will be free to all registered HotDog Professional 4 users. HotDog Professional 4 costs $130.
