Under the terms of a new agreement both companies will work together to jointly layer SAS business intelligence capabilities on top of large ERP systems deployments – with a particular focus on SAP AG sites.
The partnership taps into Bull’s core BI and ERP implementation competencies, which includes centers of excellence for SAS and SAP that help to define customer architectures. These centers also optimize and implement applications running on Bull’s NovaScale, Escala and Express5800 servers.
According to Tonny Dierckx, director of intelligence architecture for SAS EMEA, one of the goals of the alliance is to establish SAS as the BI vendor of choice for SAP users in Europe.
We’re building on SAS 9.1 and its ‘Powered by SAP NetWeaver’ certified integration, the SAS Enterprise Intelligence Platform in combination with Bull’s robust servers, he said.
Bull experts work in close collaboration with the support and R&D teams at SAS and SAP.
The two companies have already put their heads together to develop a benchmark for Electricite de France, to optimize response times of utility provider’s global infrastructure, which will eventually support up to three million customers.
