Sapient Corp, the Cambridge, Massachussetts-based systems integrator, has filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a public offering of 1,687,500 shares of common stock. Of the shares being offered, 400,000 are Sapient’s, while 1,287,500 shares are on offer from various stockholders, including the company’s co-chief executive officers Jerry Greenberg, who is selling 600,000 of his 6.58 million shares and Stuart Moore, who is selling 600,000 of his 6.49 million. Sapient says it will use the proceeds from its end for working capital and general corporate purposes. The underwriters of the offering have an option to purchase an additional 253,125 shares to cover over- allotments. The offering is being led Goldman, Sachs & Co, Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
