Powered by the SAP NetWeaver platform and built for enterprise service-orientated architecture (SOA) flexibility, SAP’s integrated system will enable Lenovo to access key data in real-time, increasing business process efficiency.

The SAP platform will ensure a fast response to service issues, identify real-time fluctuations in supply and demand, and comply and monitor regional trade rules and regulations.

Under the agreement, Lenovo will implement a wide range of software from the SAP for High Tech portfolio in a phased rollout for approximately 15,000 users in 138 countries and company sites.

In addition to mySAP Business Suite applications for customer relationship management (CRM), financials, human capital management and supply chain management, Lenovo will use SAP xApps composite applications for cost and quotation management, global trade services and real-time shop floor manufacturing integration and intelligence.

Lenovo began its SAP implementation in February and plans to go live with the software later in the year.
