SAP AG is stepping up its push into the small and medium-sized enterprise sector, with a range of hosted financial and human resources applications on the network of North Carolina application service provider Interpath Communications. Companies that cannot afford to install large SAP systems can now benefit from the Accelerated Financials and Accelerated Human Resources on a fixed price per seat, per month basis.
The new SAP pay as you go systems provide automated billing, payroll and accounting services, managed and monitored remotely by SAP and Interpath. The companies claim implementation of the hosted services can be accelerated using SAP’s TeamSAP program that offers a packaged consultancy and logistics service.
Interpath will start offering SAP-based services over its fiber network in the third quarter. They will be available in five US states, including North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Georgia. A human resource module will also be made available remotely from the fourth quarter.
