SAP has introduced the SAP Promotion Management for Retail 7.0, a new software to help retailers streamline their sales process.

According to SAP, the new software system enables advertising staff to spend less time on manual tasks such as maintaining spreadsheets, re-keying information and editing hard copies of proofs multiple times.

SAP said that its new platform enables retailers to improve productivity and reduce the time required to execute on any changes through better collaboration among marketing, merchandising and advertising execution groups.

The company also said that the new software enables the creation of relevant, timely and targeted advertising by product, category and zone through ad-versioning functionality and lower promotional costs by reducing the time required to produce advertisements.

According to SAP, the new product, together with the SAP Price Optimization for Retail and SAP Markdown Optimization for Retail packages, will enable retailers to optimally manage the pricing of their products throughout the entire product lifecycle.
