The Waldorf-based company has extended its Safe Passage program, which is aimed at luring over Oracle customers, including those from PeopleSoft and JD Edwards, both of which Oracle recently acquired. The SAP program offers credits of up to 75% on mySAP licensing fees for users that make the switch.

SAP’s move is in response to a similar Oracle program called Off SAP which it launched earlier this month. SAP launched its Safe Passage program at the beginning of this year after PeopleSoft shareholders agreed to swallow a sweetened $10.3bn takeover bid from Oracle. Oracle also outbid SAP for Minneapolis-based retail software maker Retek Inc in April, adding more competitive fuel between the two companies.
