Capita expects to rollout SAP’s Claims Management from its insurance industry program in six months, as part of its effort to deliver intelligent outsourcing technology to the insurance industry.

Capita said the aim of the deployment is to accelerate claims processing by improving information availability and offering it on a single, integrated platform. It will utilize the software, powered by the SAP NetWeaver platform, to source information via customer portals and a data warehouse for management information. It is hoped that this will better meet the diverse requirements of insurance clients while allowing for greater efficiencies and a reduced cost base for insurance customers.
