SAP has introduced a new supplier relationship management (SRM) functionality for Business All-in-One offerings to help enable midsize companies to optimise procurement and sourcing processes, reduce costs and automate supplier collaboration.

The company said that midsize companies can now manage procure-to-pay processes in one unified offering, by combining preconfigured functionality from the SRM application and Business All-in-One.

The SRM functionality based on SRM 7.0, supports processes for operational procurement and strategic sourcing best practices.

SAP said that its integrated SRM and enterprise resource planning (ERP) functionality reside on the same server. It includes an add-on software that empowers employees to create their own requisitions which in turn trigger automated workflow for manager approval, centralised supplier sourcing and fulfillment.

In addition, the functionality enables midsize companies to achieve quick adoption, increased productivity and fewer errors. This new midmarket SRM offering can be added at any time to a company’s Business All-in-One offering or the SAP ERP application and is available now from SAP and SAP channel partners.
