SAP has revamped its supply chain management applications, including Transportation Management (SAP TM), Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) and Event Management applications adding new tools and features.
The new versions of the applications available in an integrated single platform can work independently or integrated with the other applications.
SAP Transportation Management provides improved ocean and air freight management, enhanced manual transportation planning and offers integration with Extended Warehouse Management.
It also offers improvements to transportation cost distribution, freight settlement and tracking and additional transportation management analytics, reports and dashboards.
The Extended Warehouse Management features a new dock appointment scheduling capability to collaborate with carriers and manage the activities at the warehouse docks and rapid-deployment applications to deploy SAP EWM.
It also includes rapid-deployment application for migrating warehouse management from SAP ERP to SAP EWM or use SAP EWM in a retail environment and integration to SAP TM.
SAP Event Management offers additional content for supply chain execution visibility, geo-tracking capabilities and embedded maps, usability improvements and enhanced content for SAP TM.
