SAP has introduced a series of new HR-based mobile apps to help managers and employees execute HR-based requests on-the-go.

With the new mobile apps, SAP employees and managers increase the productivity while connecting people anyplace at anytime, said SAP.

The company said that the new apps empower the always-on workforce with real-time mobile capabilities for performing a wide range of HR-related activities.

SAP said with the mobile apps, managers will be able to search for and view employee profiles, initiate and act on HR-based processes and workflow, collaborate on decisions and events, and access critical data – all from their mobile devices.

SAP plans to release its Manager Insight which will provide managers with quick access to HR data, reports and KPIs at anytime. It provides collaboration on HR topics and capture follow-up actions and also to release SAP Interview Assistant, claimed SAP.

SAP is planning to release new apps including: SAP Employee Lookup; SAP Leave Request; SAP Timesheet; SAP HR Approvals to allow organisations to mobilise HR processes instantly.

SAP Employee Lookup will provide access to any employee’s details and organisational information residing in the SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM) offering, said SAP.

SAP Manager Insight and SAP Interview Assistant will be available on Apple iPad, while the other apps will run on Apple iPhone and BlackBerry smartphones. These apps are powered by Sybase Unwired Platform.

SAP Human Capital Management group vice-president David Ludlow said that with the new mobile HR apps, SAP strengthens its commitment to the mobile space and the improved availability of HR processes that allows employees to increase their productivity while working on-the-go.

"We are pleased to offer these apps to our customers, who in turn can help ensure the best possible enablement and support for their workforce," said Ludlow.
