SAP introduces SAP Business One OnDemand

New app supports sales, purchasing, inventory and finance business processes

By CBR Staff Writer

SAP has introduced SAP Business One OnDemand application, a new application that aims to build upon SAP Business One application, addressing small enterprise preferences for minimal up-front cost and lower IT operations.

SAP Business One OnDemand will target smaller companies seeking a single offering with business functionality, as well as support for sales, purchasing, inventory and finance business processes.

The new application is expected to be offered by trusted partners, including Hungarian Telecom, itelligence, Seidor, Singtel, Versino and Virtustream.

SAP Business One OnDemand is intended to complement the currently available SAP Business ByDesign application for midmarket customers and will be suitable for customers seeking to implement their holistic ERP software as well as for affiliates of large enterprises with deep industry functionality requirements.

SAP AG Ecosystem & Channels president Eric Duffaut said said small companies with little infrastructure and outsourced IT are expecting cloud applications, sometimes in easy combination with their existing software.
