Icon Systems & Software Inc has landed $5m in additional funding from its main shareholder, Sanyo Corp, which now becomes its controlling shareholder, raising its stake to 60% from 40%: the Orem, Utah-based company designs and markets a multi-processor multi-environment – Unix, MS-DOS, Pick – system that is manufactured for it by Sanyo in Japan, and part of the cash will go towards bringing its next machine to market, with a target September launch date set.
