SANYO DEVELOPS LINEAR INTEGRATED CIRCUIT DESIGN PACKAGE

By CBR Staff Writer

Sanyo Electric has developed a linear integrated circuit design package that runs on IBM 37-type mainframes: the software, to be marketed by a Japanese company called Too, is claimed to reduce the function and circuit design time for these linear circuits by 40% and is a sister product to Sanyo’s SEEDS analogue circuit design package; it provides simulation and analysis functions as well as circuit input and editing and costs $230,000; Sanyo is hoping to sell 20 in the first year.
