The Santa Cruz Operation Inc OpenServer Release 5 and Chorus Systemes SA’s merged telecommunications product is code-named MK2 (CI Nos 2,745, 2,667), and is scheduled to ship in early 1997. MK2 is a binary offering for real-time telecommunications and embedded applications initially pitched at Intel Corp iAPX-86 systems. The first major customer for the product is Siemens AG Private Communications Systems.
