The City of Santa Ana contracted to have a series of LCD screens installed in locations where there is high footfall and long dwell times. These include locations throughout the city such as the Santa Ana train station, Diedrich’s Coffee House, Western Medical Center, Southwest Senior and McDonald’s.

During its regular programming, CCN will provide content that will help enhance community involvement.

CCN will also provide up-to-date information regarding city road improvement projects, community festivals and events, city programs and initiatives, and other ways residents can become more involved in their city.

Fred Armendariz, president and CEO of CCN, said: Government’s primary responsibility is to provide for the safety of its citizenry. The CCN system is an effective and efficient tool enabling cities to engage with their citizens on a variety of subjects. These communiqués could vary from earthquake preparedness to the high school football team winning the city championship; from water conservation to an Amber Alert. From the casual to the critical, this system allows cities to effectively communicate with the citizens they serve on a daily basis and educating the public about services and programs that exist in the community in which they live.
