Sanna-Litier Group, a Russian third party logistics provider, has rolled out RedPrairie’s warehouse management suite at its 9,505sqm Litier Domodedovo logistics center.
According to RedPrairie, the implementation at Litier Domodedovo is the first of seven planned at all the Litier network A-class warehouses. As a result, the Sanna-Litier Group will manage the operations of Litier multimodal logistics network with warehousing space of more than 500,000sqm.
RedPrairie has said that a total of 800 operatives will eventually use the system, which is fully localized for Russia and integrated with Sanna-Litier’s back office systems. Russian logistics expert and RedPrairie partner Avant-Garde Communications provided on-site support during the implementation.
RedPrairie claims that the Sanna-Litier Group is already seeing the benefits of lower operating overheads with RedPrairie’s automated yard management, storage optimization, and real-time stock taking capabilities. Paper-based put away and picking have been replaced by hand-held RDT scanners resulting in improved operator productivity, near 100% accuracy and better throughput.
Martin Hiscox, president an international managing director at RedPrairie, said: We are delighted that Sanna-Litier is already benefiting from our warehouse management solution at one site. We look forward to delivering results at all Sanna-Litier sites and helping them increase their presence across Russia.
