Sheffield Pick-popper Sanderson Electronics Plc has agreed to invest up to UKP200,000 for a 75% stake in System 800 Computers Ltd of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. The target is another Pick-popper, concentrating on the north east and Cumbria, and had sales of UKP520,000 in the year to December, and is now deriving near UKP200,000 a year from maintenance and other recurring revenue. The company bought XSoft Systems Ltd two months ago, and has agreements that will in due course give it 51% and control of General Automation Inc, Irvine, California if everything pans out as planned on that front. Sanderson turnover for the year to March 31 rose 50% to UKP6.2m.
