Samsung Electronics and the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) have announced a new three-year agreement, naming samsung as the official partner of IAAF.
Samsung has also been appointed as the official equipment provider for IAAF, in the categories of Mobile Telecommunications Hardware, Audio Visual Equipment, Cameras and Household Appliances.
According to Samsung, the new marketing partnership is expected to span the World Championships in Berlin in August this year, the 2010 World Indoor Championships in Doha, Qatar and the 2011 World Championships in Daegu, South Korea.
Samsung is expected to feature the Samsung digital gallery at the world championships in Berlin. It is reported as a full scale interactive event programme which is expected to enable athletes, spectators and media to engage with new technologies in LED TV, mobile phones and digital Cameras.
Additionally, the Samsung and IAAF partnership encompasses the IAAF Continental and National Championships programmes during the three year agreement.
