Samsung Electronics has unveiled its new Galaxy TabPro S, a 12-inch tablet running Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system.
The tablet, which will be available globally from next month, delivers full PC functionality with both Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro for business.
It is powered by a sixth-generation Intel Core M processor, whose dual cores clock in at 2.2GHz.
The tablet features a multitouch screen and has both a front- and rear-facing camera. The Pogo pin on the keyboard removes the need for pairing or charging separately.
Samsung claims that it is the first tablet, powered by Windows, to support LTE Cat 6 for the fastest connected experience.
The tablet’s battery can fully charge in only 2.5 hours, and offers nearly 10.5 hours of battery life for an entire day.
Samsung Electronics president and head of mobile communications business Dongjin Ko said: "Galaxy TabPro S balances the best of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab with the wealth of features on the Windows 10 operating system for the most advanced tablet experience on the market.
"We’re thrilled to be working with Microsoft Corp. to deliver a 2-in-1 tablet that truly allows people to enjoy productivity and connections that matter most, through a seamless mobile station designed for all purposes."
