Samsung Electronics America, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, has unveiled two new lines of multi-function monitors (MFMs), which offers consumers a computer monitor and HDTV in one.
The company said that the new 30 and 90 display series that range from 21.5 to 24 inches, can be used as a small TV with full HD resolution.
The MFMs feature Picture in Picture (PiP) so multi-tasking users can simultaneously use their computer and watch TV without the need for a second monitor or additional connections.
Samsung said that its new 90 series LED features full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, 5ms response time, 5,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and 5W built-in stereo speakers.
The 30 series monitor offers full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, 70,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, and 3W built-in stereo speakers.
The 90 Series is expected be available in September 2010, priced at $419.99 and the 30 Series is available now at MSRP ranging from $269.99 – $329.99 based on size, the company said.
