Samsung Electronics America, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, has extended its Series 7 laptop line with the introduction of 17-inch Series 7 CHRONOS.

The new laptop is powered by 3rd generation Intel Core i7 processor and ExpressCache technology, offering a desktop experience to consumers.

ExpressCache technology, developed by Diskeeper, which offers enhanced start-up times and overall performance, including web browsing speeds that are twice as fast (using Microsoft Internet Explorer). It also provides 8GB of flash memory on the motherboard.

It also features a new quad-core processor, Intel Hyper-Threading Technology and Intel Turbo Boost Technology 2.0.1 through which users can access an automatic burst of speed whenever they need it.

The Samsung’s Fast Start technology wakes up the laptop from hybrid sleep mode in two seconds, while Quick Boot makes the notebook ready to go, from cold, in 19 seconds.

Series 7 CHRONOS delivers an uninterrupted battery performance of up to 8 hours on a single charge (based on MobileMark test scores). Samsung’s Battery Life Plus technology keeps 80% of the cell’s original capacity, even after 1,500 charges, enabling the battery to last up to five times longer than other notebooks, said the company.

The new release also includes JBL speakers, premium 2.1 system graphics, a full HD LED display, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 2GB graphics. User can now sync the Series 7 CHRONOS to TV using the Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) and an adapter.
