Samsung to go early with next big Galaxy smartphone launch – report

Reaction to poor Q2 performance.

Korean mobile giant Samsung is to bring forward to next month the launch of a vital mobile product.

Reuters reported that the sources said the electronics firm would launch its Galaxy Note phablet in August instead of September after the company suffered worse than expected mobile shipments in Q2. See Galaxy S6 fails to revive Samsung

Traditionally product launches are saved for September.

The fiercely competitive handset market has recently seen deivce maker HTC seek to recover ground after it too reported sluggish performance on the back of poor sales.
