South Korea-based electronics firm Samsung has previewed its flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone across over 1,400 shops around the globe prior to its launch.

The smartphone will also be available for pre-orders along with the company’s wearable devices such as the Gear 2 and Gear Fit.

According to the company, the Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with new features including a rich tone HDR camera, finger print recognition and heart rate monitor.

Samsung Electronics IT & Mobile Division Global Marketing executive vice president, Younghee Lee, said the new Galaxy S5 and Gear devices are designed for what matters most to the company’s consumers.

"We listened closely to our consumers when designing these products, and we want to give as many customers as possible the enough chance to experience Galaxy S5, Gear 2, and Gear Fit before they purchase," Lee added.

Galaxy S5, which comes with an advanced camera, better network connectivity, dedicated fitness tools and improved device protection features, was unveiled at the Samsung UNPACKED 2014 event and is slated for global launch on 11 April 2014.

Global preview of the device is available at Samsung Experience Stores, mobile carrier stores, and key retailer stores across 61 countries.

The preview started in the US and Switzerland on 21 March, while the company is planning to expand it to the remaining 59 markets including Brazil, China, Germany and the UK.
