Samsung plans to create three sided display device

The display is reportedly to be made from a special type of plastic.

By CBR Staff Writer

Samsung is reportedly working on a three-side display for its upcoming mobile devices, and it could feature in the upcoming Galaxy Note 4.

Rumours have been stirring about the three sided display for a number of months but, according to the company’s South Korean supplier, Samsung has now begun testing the new technology.

There will be an additional row of icons along the edge of the phone that could perform special functions, including swiping the right side of the screen to unlock the phone, or it could be used for displaying bookmarks for websites.

Rumors also suggest there could be a special edition of Galaxy Note 4, which could feature the new technology, while some other reports suggest that the company could release limited edition phones.
