Featuring a 5-inch, 800 x 480 resolution LCD WVGA display, the new smartphone comes with 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor, 1GB RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera that offers 1080p video recording and a front 2-megapixel camera.

The new device also sports 8GB of internal memory and a microSD card slot for memory expansion, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, HSPA+ connectivity and a 2,100mAh battery.

The Galaxy Grand will feature the TouchWiz interface in addition to in-built features such as S Voice, multi window mode, Direct Call, AllShare Play, Smart Alert and Popup Play among many others.

According to the South Korean firm, the new smartphone will be offered in two variants: one with single SIM slot and the other with dual-SIM slot. The smartphone/tablet hybrid will be the second biggest device in Samsung’s range, after the Note.
