Samsung Galaxy S III, the South Korean company’s new smartphone, is all set to hit the UK stores in April.

ZDNet Korea is said to have got the confirmation of the UK launch date from Samsung’s advertising agency.

Though the company has yet to reveal details about new smartphone, Boy Genius Report, a technology blog, said the new device would sport 4.8-inch 1080p high-definition display, a 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor, 2GB Ram, an 8mp rear camera, a 2mp front-facing camera and embedded 4G LTE

It is said the phone would run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

It was expected that Samsung would launch S III at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The firm, however, rejected the claims by saying that the successor to the Galaxy S II smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product.
