Samsung Electronics America, a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corporation, has expanded Series 9 laptop line.

The expanded line of thin and lightweight models includes five different configurations designed to meet the needs and budgets of a variety of users.

While the NP900X1B-A01US and NP900X1B-A02US belong to the 11-inch line of models, the
NP900X3A-A05US, the NP900X3A-BO2US and the NP900X3A-BO1US are additions in the 13-inch model range.

The NP900X1B-A01US, which is priced at $1,249, runs on Intel Core i3 Processor 2357M, has a 4GB DDR3 RAM and 128GB SSD storage.

The NP900X1B-A02US, which comes with 2GB DDR3 RAM and 64GB SSD, is priced at $1,049.

Both the models are expected to be available in August.

Among the 13-inch models, the NP900X3A-A05US is priced the highest at $2,049 and comes with Intel Core i7 Processor 2617M, 6GB DDR3 RAM and 256GB SSD, while the NP900X3A-B01US is priced the lowest at $1,349. These models are available now, said the company.

Samsung Enterprise Business Division director of mobile PC marketing Scott Ledterman said, "We’ve seen a very positive reception to the original Series 9 models introduced at CES earlier this year."

"As we look to expand the line for the remainder of the year, we’ve maintained the premium duralumin design and form factor while offering consumers a wider range of options and powerful performance," Ledterman added.
