Electronics and telecommunications firm Samsung Electronics America has appointed Fred Crespo as director of Technology and Business Development in the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Group.
Formerly, Crespo acted as a vice-president of Information Technology for Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, where he was responsible for overseeing day-to-day corporate IT operations as well as technical leadership and direction for all Rosewood properties.
As a director of Technology and Business Development, Crespo will focus on emerging technologies in the hospitality sector, with a focus on creating and delivering interactive guest room experiences, leveraging Samsung’s leadership in Smart TV and cross-platform connectivity.
Samsung US Hospitality Business leader and Marketing vice-president Jonas Tanenbaum said Fred’s background in the hospitality industry and in particular, his understanding of multiple technologies related to the hotel environment will make him a superb addition to the Samsung team.
"Fred is ideally positioned to develop unique products and programs to support Samsung’s new generation of hospitality offerings," said Tanenbaum.
