Supermarket supremo J Sainsbury Plc has joined forces with the Midland Bank Plc to pilot an electronic payment scheme at two stores in the South of England: shoppers with Midland AutoCheque cards will be able to use one of 22 Fortronic-built F75 terminals now installed at Maidenhead and Farnborough branches to buy up to UKP150 worth of goods, leaving the rest of us fumbling in our pockets for change.
