Sage Software Inc, Rockville, Maryland and Micro Focus Plc, Watford have upgraded their agreement under which Sage last month announced a comprehensive Cobol generation system built around Micro Focus products (CI No 976). Under the new worldwide agreement, Sage will sell and provide frontline support for the Micro Focus family of PC-DOS and OS/2 products in conjunction with its own APS/PC Workstation. The two will also work jointly with large strategic accounts, with Micro Focus providing initial training on its Focus products. Sage has built a comprehensive, integrated development environment that, with Micro Focus products, incorporates their design and prototyping tools and application generators. This enables not only checking, testing and debugging, but also emulation of [IBM] mainframe environments on the workstation said Micro Focus.
