SAGE GROUP TO REPORT PROFITS UP THIS WEEK

By CBR Staff Writer

The Sage Group, the UK-based accountancy software firm, is expected to report pre-tax profits up for the year of 77m pounds on Wednesday, up from 30.1m pounds last time. The company, which acquired German software house KHK Software AG in March of this year (CI No 3,111), is thought to be looking for further acquisition targets. Sage, having said it expected to implement management changes, replaced KHK’s co managing directors Karl-Heinz Killeit and Klaus Wekken at the end of October, and has transferred the running of the Frankfurt-based operation over to a four man management team led by the UK marketing director Paul Stobart.
