SADDAM HUSSEIN NOW ON THE WEB

By CBR Staff Writer

Taking a break from rolling his tanks into other peoples’ countries, Saddam Hussein has rolled out a website. Contact http//chat.com.jo//iraq/ and you can get the Iraqi President’s speech on the 19th anniversary of the July revolution. Alas, since Iraq is still isolated, the site is in Jordan but the Baghdad -based Nahj Group is not behind on the technology and, those with time on their hands, can download a 7.5MB video of the great man’s oratory. A word of warning, though, to Saddam’s webmaster at the Nahj Group: there have been recent revelations that the Iraqi national soccer team are taken to Baghdad’s main prison every time they lose a match and tortured for 24-hours – so if any line of HTML incurs the president’s displeasure, he may make his anger out in the form of electrodes rather than e-mail.
