SABRE PICKS MICROSOFT WORKS FOR TRAVEL AGENTS

By CBR Staff Writer

American Airlines’ Sabre reservation system has picked Microsoft’s Works package to offer travel agents integrated office automation software on their new Sabre terminals. The software, to be marketed as SabreWorks, will run on custom versions of IBM Personal System/2 workstations now being installed at travel agencies throughout the US. SabreWorks combines word processor, spreadsheet, and a database system.
