A new Russian-Austrian joint venture has recently been formed by Moscow Local Telephone Network, MGTS and the Telenorma division of Bosch Telecom GmbH. The Austrian partner has a great experience in supplying its equipment to 80 countries around the globe, such as Japan, the US and UK. So far, over 100 PABXs of different capacities have been imported to Russia. The latest product of Telenorma, Integral 33X, was granted a certificate by the Russian Ministry of Communications which certifies its compatibility with the existing telephone networks. The newly-created joint venture will offer to install the new system in banks, hotels, business centres and so forth. According to information obtained from MGTS, the system enables customers to organise local integrated services digital networks making it possible to use ordinary telephone channels for video image and inter-computer data transmission. For small firms that cannot afford Integral 33X, Moteva-Telecom offers the TX 90 system that can completely substitute a standard AT-alike and has some more valuable features, such as teletext and videotext, and can also manage security and fire alarm systems in the offices.
