Videoconferencing company RSI Systems Inc of Minneapolis, Minnesota, has announced the latest version of its Video Flyer-384 portable conferencing system. The system operates at 128, 256 or 384Kbps using the H.320 ISDN videoconferencing standard and can connect to a television, projection system, PC, Macintosh or laptop. It supports audio and video at up to 30 frames per second and can accept both NTSC and PAL video signals from cameras, LCD projectors and other video equipment. It comes without a hard drive and diskette drive. Instead all program features are stored on flash memory, which the company said is more reliable. The Video Flyer offers features that let pictures, images or reports be captured and stored in the system’s memory and referred to later in the presentation. RSI offers three different models: Roll-Around VF-384 for workgroups and small to large office applications; Business Traveler VF-384 and Professional Office VF-384.
