The UK-based insurance company, RSA has extended its technology joint-venture with Accenture with an expanded application outsourcing agreement – reported CIO.
The outsourcing agreement between RSA and Accenture has been extended by CIO, James de Watteville, to execute the Accenture Insurance Solution product into the personal lines division of RSA.
Accenture and RSA commenced working together in 2003. As per the deal, Accenture offers development, implementation and maintenance of IT applications for RSA UK, in its commercial insurance product lines. Accenture is also responsible for the claims processing, customer relationship management (CRM), policy management, and back office support.
James de Watteville, CIO of RSA, said: “The new deal will lead to significant cost reductions and increase growth at the corporation. The expanded agreement reflects Accenture’s role as a reliable business partner.”
