The Bedford, Massachusetts-based security vendor is introducing three new products to extend its ClearTrust software to the mainframe: RSA ClearTrust Mainframe Data Adapter; a ClearTrust Agent for IBM Corp’s HTTP Server on OS/390; and OpenConnect Systems Inc’s WebConnect technology.

The ClearTrust Mainframe Data Adapter (MDA) is designed to allow ClearTrust to access user data stored on mainframe data stores and enforce overall rules and policies. The ClearTrust Agent for IBM HTTP Server, meanwhile, allows direct access to mainframe applications with support for single sign-on technologies.

Through a strategic partnership with Dallas, Texas-based OpenConnect, RSA will also be offering customers the WebConnect terminal emulation technology, enabling web-based users to access legacy mainframe applications with single sign-on.

The ClearTrust Agent for IBM HTTP Server and WebConnect are available immediately from RSA, while the ClearTrust MDA will be available in the third quarter for IBM’s Resource Access Control Facility as well as Computer Associates Inc’s CA-ACF2 and CA-Top Secret, and in the fourth quarter for IBM’s DB2 database management system.
